On 25 September 2025 — Heritage Day — we mark 142 years since the founding of Mzongwana. This is not just a celebration; it is a tribute to the courage and sacrifice of more than hundred warriors who fell at Mfelamadoda during the Basotho Rebellion. It is a remembrance of forced displacement, cultural survival, and the unyielding spirit of our people.
For the first time in our history, we will gather chiefs of the broader Dlamini lineage and communities from across the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Lesotho, and Eswatini to honour our past — and chart a new path forward.
We invite partners, allies, and leaders to walk with us on this journey. This is our time to be heard, to be seen, and to reclaim our rightful place in South Africa’s cultural and development landscape.
